Its Friday so just for kicks, let’s check some of the oddities of the culinary world. 10 items that will make you ask “They eat that s*%t?!?”. Let’s go.

10: Marzu (Italy) Famous cheese made with live insect larvae.

9: Guacamole & Grasshoppers (Mexico) Crispy fried. Who needs nachos?

8: Bug Sushi (Japan) Highly Nutritious, incorporates crickets, worms and other such fun items.

7: Hasma (China) Dessert made from the dried Fallopian tubes of frogs.

6: Poisonous Spiders (Cambodia) Considered a treat, kids will run around catching the crawlies before happily stuffing the things in their mouth with a dull crunch. Yum.

5: Ox Penis (Various) Fried with a bit of onion and garlic, ad spices of the region and bam. Ya… no.

4: Jellied Mousse Nose (Canada). The light and dark meat of the nose is cooked and cooled in a stock resulting in a gelatinous loaf which is then sliced like bread and consumed.

3: Balut (Phillipines) Definitely not for the faint of heart, this is where an egg is boiled and consumed with a fully formed fetus inside. Mmmmm….

2: Monkey Brains (Asia) Yip, the stories are true. Served from a live primate at the table.

And last but not least, the wierdest of the lot. No. 1.

1: Pineapple On Pizza (World wide). No body knows why, but many people love it. Makes no sense and shouldn’t exist yet it does.
